Being a minister for many years it is very difficult to deviate from my religious blogs & writings. If you my readers could indulge me somewhat and allow me to express my humble opinion on some of the news events of today.

First let me say I appreciate the various police forces we have active in America today. Recent research tells us that in America there are approximately 500,000 law enforcers comprising of local, city, county, state, & Federal government men & women hired to protect us in various forms. There are over 307 million residents in the U.S. so that leaves approximately 306,712,123 for these officers to protect & enforce the law.

I am not defending any officer that does wrong or oversteps their boundaries, yet there are many more who sacrifice greatly to help us to have a safe place to life & our children to attend school. I have pastored for nearly 40 years and I have seen my share of preachers who failed to live up to their calling. This is always sad and in every case I’ve seen of it happening, many were hurt in some way. Yet, I’m so glad I didn’t lose confidence in every preacher because the bible says we can’t be saved without a preacher. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher? If I might add “how can we be safe without a police force?”

I am concerned that the anti-cop movement that has occupied our nation the past couple of years goes much deeper than overreacting policemen. This movement implemented largely by our current political ideologies and an excessive liberal news broadcasting system that fans any and all anti-America flames, whether they be true or false.

My opinion is that it’s for the sake of destroying capitalism & replace it with the ever failing socialism. For this to transpire they must first destroy the police force as we know it and replace it with a social form of policing. Some call it marshal law but the wise ones call it a tragic mistake and a miscarriage of true law enforcement. Uncle Sam (Government) is now known as “Big Brother” and will soon if not stopped become our King.

I regret this action that our government & judicial systems are taking against good men & women that work long hours for a very small wage by comparison to other professions and maligning their character in hopes of replacing them with a military type force that answers only to those who are in political control. I have witnessed this style of policing in other countries and believe me we don’t need it in America.

We have all been annoyed by those who attempt to comfort us by saying things like “I know what it’s like or I know what you’re going through.” Now I find myself doing that when I tell these officers of the law that risk their lives every hour on the job, sacrifice their families & many other treasures just to do a good job serving us. No I’ve never been a police officer or detective but I was placed in a situation as a young man drafted into the Army. Myself, and hundreds of thousands of other young men & a few women then, went to Viet Nam leaving everything behind because our nation needed us. There were nearly 60,000 combat deaths and thousand more died on their way to MASH units or hospitals. Only God knows the total of those wounded, maimed, & physiologically damaged by their sacrifices because they needed us. Then when the political winds shifted through the schools, universities, & streets of our country, suddenly we the soldiers became the enemies. Our nation abhorred the returning vets and instead of bands and parades, it was mockery and ridicule. It was rotten tomatoes instead of flowers that we received. It’s been over 40 years since I returned home to a different country. We did our best and many gave the supreme sacrifice while draft dodgers became presidents, senators, congressmen, & etc. I didn’t understand it then & I don’t understand it today, I quote POGO “we have met the enemy and the enemy is us.” So again I must say to our police force “I know what you’re going through.”

Don’t be fooled in the smoke screen of racism it is just another vehicle for the tyrants to ride so we won’t so easily recognize them. Stop allowing news reports to divide us and realize what it really is. Al Sharpton recently said that we should just do away with the police, if I had a rap sheet as long as his I would probably want to get rid of the police also, not to mention owing the IRS $5,000,000.00 of unpaid taxes. However in the recent past it seems that he has spent more time at the Whitehouse than Mr. Biden the Vice President. Can we just wonder why?

I don’t if, nor when our nation will ever pull out of this mire we are in but I know we need God more than ever before. 2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
In such an untoward generation as we now live in it is exciting to know that eternal things never change. The world changes, culture changes, individuals change but the Word of God is forever settled in heaven, and will never change. Ps.119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
In the book of Acts chapter 2 we find the birth of a new church & the beginning of the last days. In said chapter we find that the early church was indeed a one God body that baptized in Jesus name & people received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues as prophesied centuries before. Also their message wrought many miracles, signs, & wonders. This however wasn’t a temporary religious phenomenon, it was meant to last until the end of the church age. The reason we still preach it & witness these wonders is “they continued steadfastly.”
The LTC family is very blessed to CONTINUE in this great spiritual movement. As they did then we still do today! While mainline denominations falsely claim that all this was just for those in the upper room, yet we see it service after service. As Pastor Anthony Gally preached the word last Sunday evening a refreshing book of Acts event took place. While the Pastor was preaching people started receiving the Holy Ghost & was speaking in tongues. Acts10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Study your bible and you will find that the way it was then is indeed the way it should be today. Time, traditions of men, or hell itself can’t stop or change God’s holy mandate. For the LTC family and others that CONTINUE to preach the true gospel we shall always see the same results they saw in the book of Acts. God’s word is true & wherever this truth is preached & taught the blessings & revival will CONTINUE.
Pentecost is a God sent experience that will culminate at the rapture of the church. Lord bless you!

2 Tim 3:4mTraitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
As Paul presents his catalogue of events and warning of the last days, he does so to enlighten us to the reality that we are indeed living in the time period known as “the last days”. Although many disagree with this fact, yet it is undeniable that there are incredible changes taking place in this world & time that demands our attention. Not so ironically these changes are all leading us farther away from God & his words.
One of these notable events is “lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God”. Please note that it doesn’t say pleasures are wrong, however when we love our pleasures more than we love God then we have a real problem. These end time pleasures are often if not always centered upon perversion, immorality, hate, & bias. The things people laugh at and rejoice in today would have been forbidden a generation ago. Crowds laugh & cheer as the entertainer uses the F bomb every other word. Christ & Christians are often made light of and are portrayed as uneducated simpletons & ignorant because we believe in God. These corrupt super stars haul in millions every year because people love them. Their crowds and following increases continually while church pews are emptying, they pay huge ticket prices but refuse to pay their tithes, & etc.
Nah 1:2 God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
In Daniel the 5th chapter we see a perfect example of our nation & world today. In this mist of partying, perversion, idolatry, & etc. we see the hand of God writing on the wall to declare the end of the party.
In the eyes of God mercy rejoices against judgment, however after man refuses to repent and turn from his wicked pleasures, God will indeed judge that individual or nation without mercy. God knows the heart and is cognitive of our points of affection. Jesus assures us we cannot serve two masters without loving one and hating the other. Sin brings pleasures for a season but eternal judgment reaps torment eternally.
I believe the Lord is coming soon to receive his children that have chosen to love him more than this world.

2Cor.10:4-5 4: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. 5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
There are many references in the Bible that refer to God’s people being in a warfare. This is of vital importance that lends to our readiness of mind to confront the enemy at just any time. This of course takes suitable disciplines in our life to succeed in this warfare. 2: Tim.2:3-4 3: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
The nonchalant approach of many Christians today pale in the wake of the greatest conflict the church has ever encountered. Members demanding to their church leaders that they want less church services & regretfully many are caving to this error to appease a lukewarm & backslidden congregation. Words fail to describe the terror & mayhem that hell & darkness will bring against the church. These things have already begun throughout the world and many Christians don’t even acknowledge it. America, the last fortress for Christianity in this world has now surrendered to every false god & doctrine in this world. Our president has declared himself that the U.S. is no longer a Christian nation.
Neither compromise nor resignation is in the vocabulary of a true Christian. We will fight to the finish against all that is evil. The book of Acts revival was fueled by the blood of those who refused to bow down to the false gods of this world. Scriptures said that some of them refused deliverance that they may obtain a greater resurrection Hebrews 11:35.
I plan to write several blogs on this subject to help us to understand that we haven’t made it yet & desiring less consecration has never the right approach to eternal victory. So let’s stand up, pray up, pay up, and ready ourselves with the determination to fight to the finish. Matt: 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Neh 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
It is vital that we understand the difference between happiness and joy. First happiness is a superficial emotion of gladness. Happiness lifts us up but joy holds us up when our world is falling.

Gal 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Thus, we see the distinct difference between joy & happiness. Many things can make us happy. New clothes, new car, raise on the job, & etc. However, these and a thousand other things & reasons that bring happiness to us, can also be taken from us and then happiness fails. It’s true that happiness lifts us up, but joy holds us up when our world crumbles around us.

Hab 3:17-19
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Notice that when everything collapsed the Prophet still had JOY. The joy of the Lord is our strength & a true source of our stability as Christians. Hardships can strip us of our happiness but can never take away our joy. Through the most painful times of our life we are kept with His joy and that joy is a virtue and gift from God himself. The world can’t take our joy from us, hell can’t take it, nor anyone else because they didn’t give it to us they can’t take it away.
I have found through the years of living for God and pastoring many people that joy is a virtue & not a superficial emotion. Although joy & happiness are often interpreted as synonymous terms, yet I have learned that there is a world of difference. Happiness inspires praise but joy brings worship. I choose JOY……

1 Pet 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

                                                                INDEPENDENCE DAY

Independence Day or commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The dictionary defines independence as freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, of others. After much bloodshed and human sacrifices the American colonies won their independence. I give honor to the brave men & women who lived out their convictions of being free from the British dictatorship.

In all the pomp associated with this grand holiday, it is amazing to learn that 238yrs after winning our independence, we are now destroying everything and once again becoming more like U.K. Americans no longer desire to be different from other nations and to prove it we live, rule, and deny God as most other nations. The difference is, God founded America to be a beacon of light and inspiration to the rest of the world. From its humble inception to the vast world influence it has become, all because God shed his grace on America. We helped countless other nations through the years to be liberated from the cruel regimes that sought to destroy them. Our sacrifices have been great and expressions of thanks so few, yet it was America.

We fed the starving, clothed the homeless, and treated the masses with our Doctors and medicines developed in our laboratories. Trillions of American dollars have been spent to develop clean water, power plants to provide clean water, and educated millions of people free of charge. America has helped to develop nations to share with untold millions the blessings that God has given us.

As we prospered more in our homeland we gradually drifted away from the one source that made us, God. Today we are bankrupt in every sense. Our prisons are filling up as our churches are empting out. We are now so deeply in debt that there is no hope of ever becoming solvent again. Christ has been taken out of our institutions of learning and replaced by humanist theories. Sin and satan now rules what God once created. The oldest institution of mankind, marriage has now been destroyed and redefined by those whose conscience has been seared by the hot iron of apostasy. It is sad but so true.

How many Americans will remember God or the real meaning of Independence Day this July 4th. The barbeques, fireworks, parties, alcohol sales will increase, drugs at record sales, pool parties and promiscuous behavior will fill the weekend with little if any acknowledgement of God’s blessings.

Thank you God for being so good to us and allowing us the blessings that the rest of the world only wishes they could have. Forgive us Lord for lusting after the things of the world and resisting your call to repentance. Forgive us individually and as a nation that has lost its direction and grant unto us your tender mercies and sufficient grace. As Abraham prayed for Sodom so I pray for America, God don’t let the righteous be destroyed with the wicked. I believe there is help and that help is Jesus Christ. 2 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. KJV Please join me in this humble invocation & seek God’s mercy.

                                                                                THOU ART THERE

Ps 139:7-12 (7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. (KJV)

Whether David pinned this Psalm or another author wrote it about him, it is a chapter filled with words of strength & hope that we find in other chapters of Psalms. The scriptures give us full account of the life of this great man referred to as the man “after God’s own heart”. As in the life of all those who follow God there were highs and lows, good times and bad times, and both victories and failures, yet he continued in the faith.

As Christians we all seek the answers & solutions to life’s problems so we can maneuver through each episode and hopefully keep the victory. We question within ourselves concerning those who we feel have really attained and achieved greatness. Do they pray & fast more than others, do they give more than others, does God favor some people more than others? I believe the key to David’s success is found in the text “thou art there”.  As a young lad in the fields at night keeping his father’s sheep surrounded by predators “thou art there”. When the growling wolf and bear approached the herd, God was there. When he met the challenge of Goliath, God was there. As a fugitive fleeing for his life God was there. In the cold & damp caves of seclusion, God was in that cave with him.

In summary it is quite evident that the key to our success is no difference, God is with us always. Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

As long as God is with us we are assured the victory. Is it any wonder he introduced himself as Emmanuel. Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. And lastly Rom 8:31 If God be for us, who can be against us?
