THEY CONTINUED STEDFASTLY
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
In such an untoward generation as we now live in it is exciting to know that eternal things never change. The world changes, culture changes, individuals change but the Word of God is forever settled in heaven, and will never change. Ps.119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
In the book of Acts chapter 2 we find the birth of a new church & the beginning of the last days. In said chapter we find that the early church was indeed a one God body that baptized in Jesus name & people received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues as prophesied centuries before. Also their message wrought many miracles, signs, & wonders. This however wasn’t a temporary religious phenomenon, it was meant to last until the end of the church age. The reason we still preach it & witness these wonders is “they continued steadfastly.”
The LTC family is very blessed to CONTINUE in this great spiritual movement. As they did then we still do today! While mainline denominations falsely claim that all this was just for those in the upper room, yet we see it service after service. As Pastor Anthony Gally preached the word last Sunday evening a refreshing book of Acts event took place. While the Pastor was preaching people started receiving the Holy Ghost & was speaking in tongues. Acts10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Study your bible and you will find that the way it was then is indeed the way it should be today. Time, traditions of men, or hell itself can’t stop or change God’s holy mandate. For the LTC family and others that CONTINUE to preach the true gospel we shall always see the same results they saw in the book of Acts. God’s word is true & wherever this truth is preached & taught the blessings & revival will CONTINUE.
Pentecost is a God sent experience that will culminate at the rapture of the church. Lord bless you!

THEY CONTINUED STEDFASTLY
LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD
2 Tim 3:4mTraitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
As Paul presents his catalogue of events and warning of the last days, he does so to enlighten us to the reality that we are indeed living in the time period known as “the last days”. Although many disagree with this fact, yet it is undeniable that there are incredible changes taking place in this world & time that demands our attention. Not so ironically these changes are all leading us farther away from God & his words.
One of these notable events is “lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God”. Please note that it doesn’t say pleasures are wrong, however when we love our pleasures more than we love God then we have a real problem. These end time pleasures are often if not always centered upon perversion, immorality, hate, & bias. The things people laugh at and rejoice in today would have been forbidden a generation ago. Crowds laugh & cheer as the entertainer uses the F bomb every other word. Christ & Christians are often made light of and are portrayed as uneducated simpletons & ignorant because we believe in God. These corrupt super stars haul in millions every year because people love them. Their crowds and following increases continually while church pews are emptying, they pay huge ticket prices but refuse to pay their tithes, & etc.
Nah 1:2 God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
In Daniel the 5th chapter we see a perfect example of our nation & world today. In this mist of partying, perversion, idolatry, & etc. we see the hand of God writing on the wall to declare the end of the party.
In the eyes of God mercy rejoices against judgment, however after man refuses to repent and turn from his wicked pleasures, God will indeed judge that individual or nation without mercy. God knows the heart and is cognitive of our points of affection. Jesus assures us we cannot serve two masters without loving one and hating the other. Sin brings pleasures for a season but eternal judgment reaps torment eternally.
I believe the Lord is coming soon to receive his children that have chosen to love him more than this world.
