IMPERFECT YET FORGIVEN
I want to say at the outset of this blog that nothing can stop you from living for God except YOU, because our salvation is a divine work of God. The contest of good versus evil started in the Garden of Eden and continues even today. Perfection on earth ended when disobedience and sin entered the human race. There will come a time when sin and death are conquered then God will establish His domain on earth & in heaven.
2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
However, until then Satan’s temptations and man’s weaknesses will battle against every effort we make towards righteousness. We are all helpless and could never accomplish our eternal goal except the grace of Jesus Christ be with us. He has empowered His children with unlimited power through His name Jesus.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
So we can’t use the excuse that we are just too weak and can’t life for God. We simply do our best and He takes care of the rest. Don’t allow your imperfections to hinder you from living for God.
2 Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Through Christ we are assured throughout the scriptures that Satan, the flesh, and this present world can be defeated by those who walk in faith. So let’s forsake the copout used so often today the “nobody is perfect” philosophy and get back to trusting God to meet the promises His word has made.
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. We have Christ in us so we can make it. He is an understanding and forgiving Heavenly Father.
Rom 8:31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? So Get back up if you have fallen and try it again, this time with God’s anointing and I assure you that you can make heaven your home. Don’t let anything or anyone hinder you from your reward.
Titus 2:12-13 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
