Things are changing in such rapidity that it is hard for us to even realize how far we have fallen as a society in the past 25 years. As a Christian leader for many years, probably the biggest surprise to me is how people have adapted and accepted the base and illicit behavior of today. Being a student of the Word of God it is plain to see that the social, spiritual, & political corruption is all designed to lead us farther away from God. Spiritual decline in these last days are prophesied many times in the scriptures that will culminate in the coronation of the antichrist reign.

2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

This son of perdition or man of sin cannot reign until this falling away we are witnessing makes way for him. We are assured that in the last days there will be a one world system that will bring every nation into a global confederation. This will consist of a one world government, one world church, & a one world order complete with a cashless society. So what should be the posture of God’s true church as we witness these things becoming reality so rapidly? Should we bury our heads in the sand and make ourselves believe it will all pass over and things will be alright? Should we become mutes and cowards and just live in silence while we wait for the rapture? Should we tone down the message of righteousness to keep from offending every godless leftwing faction? God forbid! Should we choose the route of compromise and become like the world so we can acclimate into this god forsaken culture? God answered these questions long ago for us.

 Rom 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Jude 3: Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.                                                                                                                                                                   To give in is to give up and there is no place for retreat in God’s army.                                                                                                                                                                   2 Tim 4:7-8 7: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  8: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.                                                                                                                                                            God’s people have always suffered unjustly because the guilty try to clear their conscience by putting out the light of truth. This practice was common throughout the scriptures when even arch enemies would join together to try to destroy the righteous.

Heb 11:33-38 33: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34: Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35: Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 3:6 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 3:8 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

In the days of Christ’s earthly ministry we read where Sadducees, Pharisees, Chief Priest, political heads, and other leaders came together to crucify Christ. They hated each other but hated righteousness even more.

Acts 7:54-58 (54: When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. 55: But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56: And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57: Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58: And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

Here the High Priest and his entourage went entirely insane as righteous Stephen preached to them of all the ways and times that God tried to reach and convert them. The more he preached the madder they became until they finally tortured and killed him. The world will never accept Christians because they never accepted Christ. Now America has become no different than other godless societies, and they want to get rid of righteous people. Religion will get you a pass but a truly converted child of God will never be accepted again in America. She is shamed by the things she has allowed. The church cannot escape the wrath of humanity and humanity cannot escape the wrath of God. God didn’t spare Adam’s error, the wickedness of Noah’s day, he didn’t excuse Israel for her idolatries and sins, nor even the angels that rebelled, so why do we think that we can escape the inevitable judgments of God?

Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Every man is right in his own eyes

Our nation has gotten in a horrible condition in many ways and most importantly its opinions and attitudes toward the true Christian doctrine. While the American churches have sent missionaries abroad to various nations for decades, yet now we see other countries evangelizing America. In some areas of righteousness even communist countries such as Russia have recently made declarations opposing certain sins that our U.S. government now promote.  These deviant lifestyles place us in direct contradictions to the Holy Bible teachings. There is nothing new about this approach to living worldly rather than godly.

Judges 17:6  In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Judges is one of the saddest books in the Bible. It concerns Israel as she tried repeatedly to live without God’s authority & help in their life. When people choose living any & every way they desire, confusion & judgments always ensues. In this chapter a man that stole his mother’s savings of 1100 pieces of silver, but later confessed and restored the silver to her. With part of the money returned she hired a founder to make many idols until his house was full of gods. He quickly appointed one of his sons as a priest & consecrated an ephod with other items that was once used to worship the true God & dedicated them to provide their religious & spiritual desires. It has always amazed me that man will live without God but will never live without a religion.

Judges 17:4-5 Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. 5: And the man Micah had a house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.

Although it was forbidden to do so, but when God isn’t in charge of our lives or the nation it isn’t long until idolatry & paganism substitutes his presence. I have watched this type of spiritual transition take place, especially in the past 25 years. What does the word of God have to say about this subject, not that it really has any bearing what God says in many of American’s minds today. However, someday I believe that everyone will stand before God and be judged for the deeds he performed on earth in his lifetime.

Rev. 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Here and other places in the scriptures we find that mankind will be judged of God for not obeying his word and what is pleasing in God’s eyes. In that day it won’t matter what we think or our denominational decrees declare, but only what is written in the bible.

Isa. 5:14-16 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15: And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: 16: But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Man couldn’t get things right in the Garden of Eden by himself and he certainly can’t accomplish the task today without the favor and grace of God enabling us.

Prov. 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Abraham Lincoln

The late president Abraham Lincoln gave us some practical advice to assist us in our social, economic, & political approach to leading our nation. Sadly, it has been ignored or just plainly forgotten in American leadership today. Our lust, greed, & foolish pride in the past 50+ years has resulted in squandering the prosperity of former generations till now we have become a debt ridden bankrupt nation. China now holds 50% of our national debt & purchasing an enormous amount of our commercial real estate properties.

Our politicians seem to no longer want us to be the United States of America but a confederated nation under global control. What else happened in the past 50 years? Prayer & bibles have been removed from the learning institutions, abortions on demand, same sex marriages & a crime rate so severely high they are now releasing prisoners before serving their full sentence because there isn’t enough room to house the new criminals. Sadly there’s not enough money to build new prisons to house the convicts. The reality is we have forced God out of the lives & national affairs, thus it will result in utter destruction.

Ps 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Is there any hope for us, oh yes; 2 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. AMEN…..

Here is Abraham Lincoln’s advice.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves. Abraham Lincoln

I recently saw a mural on the walls of a school that showed a young girl walking amid a flower garden that seemed to be portraying some sort of paradise of beauty & happiness. Then, in large letters it said “God is dead”. This my friend is nothing more than an artist who wants the students to think that living without God all can be better. Not only is this suggestion foolish it is also impossible.

Ps 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Let us never forget that God was here a long time before there was an America & he will be alive long after America is gone. God give us more leaders like Mr. Lincoln.

No one would buy a house and put graffiti all over it & God don’t want you marking up his house.

1 Cor 3:16-17 (16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Cor 6:19-20 (19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

The tattoo is also considered the mark of depravity by many tattoo books. Studies have been done that indicate a high percentage of deviant behaviors and troubled persons that were tattooed. Studies have also been done that link tattoos to homosexuality, lesbianism, and gross sexual perversion. Statements made in many of the tattoo books bear this out. Recent studies on today’s tattooed young people indicate:

1) They are nearly four times more likely to engage in sexual intercourse;

2) Over two times more likely to experience alcohol related problems;

3) Nearly two times more likely to use illegal drugs;

4) Over two times more likely to express violent behavior; and

5) Over two times more likely to drop out of high school.

It is a well-known fact that tattooing runs a risk of acquiring any number of deadly diseases, including Hepatitis C and AIDS. The reason is because the needle that is used to tattoo punctures the skin 3,000 times a minute. In an hour, that would be 180,000 times that puncture wounds provide a potential path to a deadly disease. Not only that, but it is also well documented that tattoo shops are not regulated by the government to uphold medical standards. Also, many tattoo artists do not inform their clients of possible infection from the needle or the ink.

The Mayo Clinic sounds a warning about commercial tattooing: “Few states have hygienic regulations to ensure safe tattooing practices in commercial tattoo parlors, and even fewer monitor and enforce standards”. Tattoos can cause many chronic skin disorders such as sarcoid, keloid scarring, allergic dermatitis, photosensitivity reactions, psoriasis, and tumors. Finally, the Holy Bible gives a real warning about this sort of procedure (Psalm.38: 5-8).

Lev 19:27-28 (27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

Many will say that this was for Israel & the Old Testament and doesn’t apply to us today. This was a moral warning from the Lord “I am the Lord” not to defile your bodies. The heathen did it and they still do but God demands distinction between Christians & unbelievers. There were some of the laws (prohibitions) that were directed exclusively towards Israel, yet the moral laws are timeless. Notice some of the moral laws and see that they still apply. Don’t place a stumbling block in front of a blind man, don’t sell or prostitute your daughters, fear your parents, honor the elderly, & etc. These and more are moral laws. Then there were civil or dietary laws which applied to Israel. They couldn’t eat catfish or fish without scales, hogs, plow with different types of beast, plant a field with various seeds, or wear clothing made of assorted fabrics. Why you might ask, God wanted his people to look, act, dress, farm uniquely from the surrounding heathen nations. Today we can eat whatever we want virtually;

1 Tim 4:3-5 (3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

God still demands Christians to live a lifestyle that separates us from the world, but wants it to be more than our gardens and diets. We are changed from within & it should reflect on the outside as well.

2 Cor 6:14-18 (14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Notice that we are commanded to “come out & be separate” then God will receive us as his children. God wants us to “think & not Ink”. He doesn’t want us to be identified or associated with gangsters, prisoners, prostitutes (they call it Tramp Stamping) homosexuals or any other markings that reflects the world and not God’s Kingdom.

I am also curious that there are those who profess to be Christians & cover themselves with tattoos and body piercings. Some even go so far as to say that Jesus wore tattoos.

Rev 19:15-16 (15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF Lords.

Revelation is a book of prophecy that speaks through symbolism & here it is found once again. His name was written on his vesture (garment) & on his thigh. If this were a tattoo then where did he get it? It wasn’t on him when he ascended, was there a tattoo parlor in heaven where he has been seated for the past 2000 years?  As you study the other verses you will discover that the vesture was soaked in his blood & his thigh represented strength. It was written on his garment & not tattooed on his body. Jesus would never do anything he forbids his children to do. Lastly, the only marks on Jesus are the scares from the nails that held him to the cross for a lost world & the stripes upon his back where he purchased our healings.

1 Peter 2:24   Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

We find that body mutilation (cuttings, piercings, and bloodletting) was often practiced by pagans.

1 Kings 18:27-28 (27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

Mark 5:1-5 (5 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Satan wants God’s people to disobey the Lord & use their bodies to promote every evil work.

1 Cor 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

When people have wild parties, smoke or use drugs, drink alcohol, speak profanity, fight, murder, rape, abuse, & etc. they are using what don’t belong to them. God just lets us use these bodies but we will also answer to him for the way we use them.

The finale of it all will be when the people of every nation take the ultimate tattoo or mark. It’s not a snake, dragon, some religious symbol; it won’t be naked women or the name of significant other but will be the “Mark of the Beast.”

Rev 13:16-17 (16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Rev 14:9-11 (9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
